NDA (National Defence Academy)
NDA Exam is conducted for hiring candidates for Army, Navy, and Air Force in NDA (National Defence Academy).
The NDA Selection Procedure consists of two stages – a Written Examination and an Interview.
Candidates successfully qualifying for the written test would be shortlisted for the NDA selection process. People
who clear the written test cut-off would be only chosen to participate in the interview rounds. The qualifying
candidates will appear for the Intelligence and Personality Test. The SSB conducts interviews for these
candidates, and upon completion of the selection rounds, the commission compiles a combined list of selected
candidates based on their performance in the written test and interviews.
Documents Required for NDA Selection Process:
The candidates selected for the interview are required to carry and later on, submit the following documents to
the academy for verification. Applicants seeking admission under reserved categories must bring the necessary
documents for verification.
Both the original documents and their corresponding photostat copies must be presented. (If any of the essential
documents are not carried out, it may result in the candidate's disqualification).
- Class 12th passing certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate of Eligibility for certain categories of students.
- Category or Caste certificate applicable to SC, ST, OBC, and others.
- Identity and Address Proof.
Disqualification from NDA Training:
If any of the following situations arise, the candidates may face disqualification from the admission process to
the training course and the academy:
Admission to the Academy will not be granted to candidates who were previously admitted to an earlier course
at the NDA or the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy but were subsequently removed or
dismissed due to any deficiency or inappropriate behaviour.
Candidates with prior instances of removal or disqualification from joining the National Defence Academy or
Indian Naval Academy due to medical reasons, or those who voluntarily withdrew from the Academy earlier,
may be eligible for re-admission, provided they meet the necessary medical and other specified criteria.
